French 75 Cocktail

  • Created in 1915 in Paris's landmark Harry's New York Bar, this bubbly beverage gives a fresh presentation to gin.


  • Ice
  • Bombay Sapphire Gin
  • 1⁄2 lemon
  • 1 sugar cube
  • Schramsberg Blanc de Blanc champagne
  • Lemon twist


  • Fill a clear glass with ice and pour 1.5 parts gin over the ice.
  • Squeeze the juice of the lemon half into the glass.
  • Transfer to a cocktail shaker, add the sugar cube and shake vigorously. Strain into a champagne flute, then fill the flute to the top with champagne.
  • Garnish with a lemon twist before serving.
