Champagne New Year Recipes

French 75

First made in Paris in 1915 at the landmark Harry's New York Bar, this bubbly beverage uses champagne to give a fresh spin on gin. Remember: with any cocktail drink that includes champagne, be sure to mix all the ingredients first and then add the champagne just before serving.

  • Ice
  • 1.5 parts Bombay Sapphire Gin
  • 1⁄2 lemon
  • 1 sugar cube
  • Schramsberg Blanc de Blanc Champagne
  • Lemon twist

Fill a clear glass with ice and pour 1.5 parts gin over the ice.

Squeeze the juice of the 1⁄2 lemon into the glass.

Transfer to a cocktail shaker, add the sugar cube and shake vigorously. Strain into a champagne flute and fill the flute to the top with champagne.

Garnish with a lemon twist before serving.

This elegant cocktail is perfect for holiday parties: it's easy to make and has a beautiful color.

  • 1⁄2 oz. Cointreau or Triple Sec
  • Champagne
  • 3 oz. cranberry juice

Chill all of the ingredients beforehand.

Pour the Cointreau and cranberry juice into a chilled champagne flute.

    Stir well.

    Top with Champagne.

Champagne MOJITO

The sweet mojito mixed with the dry champagne makes this an especially delicious cocktail.

  • 3 oz. Champagne
  • 4 mint sprigs
  • 3 teaspoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 lime wedge

Muddle mint, sugar, lime wedge and lime juice with a muddler or the back of a spoon until sugar dissolves, about 30 seconds.

Strain into a chilled champagne glass.

Add Champagne and garnish with a spring of mint.
