COMPOSITION & CONSTRUCTION
Natural Wood Letters (I, B, G, T, V): MDF (medium density fiberboard) with China ash veneer; natural finish.
Black & Gilt Ampersand: MDF with birch veneer; painted black with gilt trim.
Black Wood Letters (E, N, S, K, X): MDF with birch veneer; black painted finish.
White Metal Letters (Q, J, O, F, U): Sheet metal; white painted finish
Resin Gold Gilt Letters (A, D, Y, R, P, M): Resin; gold gilt finish.
Metal Nickel Letters (Z, H, C, W, L): Iron sheet metal; nickel-plated finish.

MDF, a man-made fiberboard consisting of wood fibers and resin binders, is known for its strength and stability, and is commonly used as a base for veneers. It features uniform consistency with no knots, and while it has about the same density as medium-weight hardwood, it is structurally more stable. It won't crack, and finishes adhere well to it, which results in a smooth end coat.

Each letter is backed with keyholes for wall mounting.
