To create the luscious feel of our tufted shag rug, we chose the highest grade of New Zealand wool – with fibers up to six inches long – and had the yarns tightly twisted and slighty felted before weaving. The result is a seriously cushy, cozy rug that’s irresistible to bare feet. Hand loomed of pure wool. Rug swatches, below, are available for $25 each. We used two types of yarns from the highest grade of New Zealand wool to create a floor covering that’s cozy, plush and inviting to bare feet. The thicker yarns on this shag rug are double felted for a dense cushiony feel, and the thinner yarns are tightly twisted for texture. Hand loomed of pure wool. Sheared pile is velvety to the touch.
