Overview

Photographed from a rare downward angle trimmed with shimmering lights, is a study of the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge in deep, rich contrasts. Shapes – lines, triangles, a great T shape of this bridge section – stand out in crisp relief against a moody sky. The bridge itself separates the sparkling buildings underneath from the softness above. The picture’s stark black, white and gray palette gives this city scene a feeling of serenity.
