Bartol Carissa Dining Room
The dining tables in the Bartol Carissa Dining Room Collection features slanted legs, primitive design and a rich, rustic finish. It is constructed of reclaimed kiln-dried pine in a Fair Trade Certified factory. The dining table seats up to six people comfortably. Upholstered chairs fit nicely with the table. A slipcover adds sleek lines to your dining chairs, eliciting a contemporary flair.
Decorate the table with a runner that suits your decor. For a textured feel, consider a runner made of hemp fiber or nautical netting. The nautical netting has a bonus benefit of accenting the table without covering too much of the stunning wood. You can still see the stained wood through the holes in the netting. Think about using classic solids and stripes for a traditional theme. If you prefer a more bold approach, check out the bright cherries and cheerful lemons that are available. Embroidered coral, exotic sea life and fringed runners are more options at Pottery Barn. They display a wow factor without stealing the show.
The centerpiece can be made of fresh flowers with long stems arranged in a galvanized bucket. Simply switch out the flowers as needed to use what grows naturally with the season. Examples of this include roses and daisies in summer, pine or cypress greenery in winter, tulips in spring and mums in fall. You could create a centerpiece with multipillar candles in a glassed-in hurricane container. The candles can illuminate the table during dinners.
Place a rug under your table that is the right size to cover the floor beneath the chairs as well. This protects your floors and keeps your chair legs balanced. Beautiful Persian rugs, plush patterns and natural sisals and jutes are some of the many selections to accent your dining room floor. Funky geometric designs or multicolored rugs are ideal for families with young kids because small spills won’t be as obvious. Whichever rug you decide on, you’re sure to get lots of life out of them.
Adorn the dining room walls with art prints framed or on canvas. Step out of the box with maps or city sketches. If you love the beach, try some of the seascapes or palm fronds. Floral canvases and geometric ones will add diversity. Look for colors you want to stand out in your room and coordinate the wall hangings to complement those specific colors. Bold tones pop brightly while muted hues will blend softly with the decor.
