Thank Your Bridesmaids

Before you say “I will,” your bridesmaids do. They say they will be there for you during this amazing time in your life – from planning to your showers and parties to traveling to be with you on your special day. Here are some ideas on how to thank your bridesmaids with a thoughtful gift.

Give Them Kind Words:

It’s more than a thank you note for a present or a service, but for being there through all the laughs, tears and inevitable mishaps – throughout your engagement and life in general. Thank them for their help throughout the wedding process, but focus on the friendship as well, with a meaningful, hand-written card.

Gift Them Something Personal: 

One time-honored gift idea is to give your bridesmaid some sort of personalized keepsake. This could be an engraved, monogramed wine glass, or a matching bracelet that is given to all of the bridesmaids. Also, a great day-of gift is a personalized robe that they can get wedding-ready in. (Bonus: matching robes make for perfect photo-ops!)

Give Them Memories:

On the day of the wedding, make sure to take individual, professional pictures with each bridesmaid. Once the photos come out, you can order high-quality prints and frame them for everyone in the bridal party.

Give Them a Place to Rest:

If your bridesmaids are traveling far to get to your wedding, you can help offset costs by opening up your home (or possibly your parents!) so they don’t have to play for a hotel the entire weekend. Another option – which may or may not fall within your budget – is to rent out an Airbnb for the bridal party and their dates that is close to the wedding venue. 

Give Them a Little Pampering:

Help the whole party relax before your big day with a trip to the spa. Pampering your bridesmaids with a massage will make you an all-star bride, while a manicure/pedicure would be very appreciated as well. Day-of makeup and hair services are also a way to make your party feel (and look!) fabulous. If none of these options quite fit into your budget, consider gifting a cosmetic bag filled with makeup, lotions and bubble bath that is customized to their favorite palette and scents.

Give Them Grub!

Keep your bridesmaids well-fed for the wedding weekend. Think a special bridesmaid brunch, catered hor d’oeuvres and of course, the rehearsal dinner. Having bubbly on hand is a way to keep the ladies happy, too – and so everyone can cheers to you and your happily ever after.
